Avery Claire | Week 29

Days Down: 208
Days to go: 72

Movement: She is still quite the wiggle worm!

Pregnancy Symptoms:  This siatic nerve pain unfortunately has gotten worse. My back is starting to hurt now and my tailbone will hurt at random times.
Random fact: your tailbone starts to hurt during late pregnancy because your body is trying to prepare for delivery, so the ligaments that are holding your bones together start to relax which causes pain. Ouch!

Best things about this week: Our cousins, Taylor and Kam, are throwing us a couples shower on Saturday with Taylor and Zach!! We are ao excited!

Nursery progress: The changing table is in place with the pad and cover on top! We also have our diaper genie ready to go! (Thank you Ashlee and David!) We have also started to stock the table up with diapers, wipes, desitin, and powder!

Random facts about Avery this week: Avery is the size of a small cabbage! She is about 17 inches long and 2.9 lbs! In the next 10 weeks, she will more than double in weight!

My sweet friend, Morgan, came by with a gift for me since she knew I had a hard week! My favorite candle & body butter that she has loved during her pregnancy! So thankful!

Avery's changing table!

Avery Claire | Week 28

Days Down: 201
Days to go: 79

Movement: She is still quite the wiggle worm except for the day we did the 3D/4D ultrasound! She decided she wanted to stay curled up in a little ball and keep her arms over her face!

Pregnancy Symptoms: This sciatic nerve pain is literally the worst thing EVER! I literally can't walk without my right leg hurting. I am praying it gets better! Also, Avery is feet down right now and I feel every single kick on my bladder. Turn baby girl!

Best things about this week: We got to see Avery's face this week! She has Tyler's lips and nose! And, we are official in the 3rd trimester! Praise the Lord! We also got her car seat and stroller delivered today which makes me feel a lot more prepared!

Nursery progress: Her changing table is in the nursery now! We will post a picture when her nursery is completed!

Sleep: I'm sleeping okay except for waking up every 2 hours to pee!

Food Cravings: None!

Random facts about Avery this week: Avery is 2.5 lbs and around 16 inches long! She is blinking, hiccupping, coughing, sucking, and taking practice breaths. Her sleep now includes REM which means she could be dreaming!

We are so excited to have Avery here with us! I still can't believe we are only 11 weeks (ish) away from meeting her! Tyler and I are so excited to be parents and we absolutely can't wait to be HER parents! We are so blessed and so happy!

Avery Claire | Week 27 + 5 days

Days Down: 194
Days to go: 86

Movement: Avery sure is a wiggle worm! I love feeling her move and I don't think feeling her inside of my belly will ever get old.

Pregnancy Symptoms: Holy lower back pain! My back has been hurting this week for the first time and it is SO uncomfortable. The only thing that seems to help is walking which is definitely inconvenient at 11pm at night.

Best things about this week: This is the last week of the 2nd trimester! Praise God! Also, I am feeling when Avery has hiccups which has been so cool!

Nursery progress: We have bought pink knobs for her dresser and they are super cute! We are still on a crib mattress search!

Sleep: I bought a body pillow so it has definitely helped get me comfortable at night! I am glad I made this purchase before the 3rd trimester!

Food Cravings: Nothing in particular!

Random facts about Avery this week: Avery is about 15 inches long and is about 2.2 lbs! She has developed regular sleep and wake cycles and she may also be able to recognize my voice now!

Is it fall yet?! I am ready for boots & sweaters!
...And, November! :)

Avery Claire | Week 26 + 5 days

Days Down: 187
Days to go: 93

Movement: Avery is still moving a lot! Her movements are very visible on the outside now so I love to just sit and watch my belly!

Pregnancy Symptoms: My sciatic nerve has bothered me a few times this week, but other than that I have been feeling pretty good!

Best things about this week: College football started back this week & the Moore family is super excited about that! Avery and I are also road trippin to Charleston today for my friend's wedding weekend!
We also met with our photographer and discussed newborn pictures which was really exciting!

Nursery progress: Avery's bedding has been delivered so now we just need to decide on a crib mattress!

Sleep: I am still sleeping pretty good!

Food Cravings: Apple pie!

Random facts about Avery this week: Avery is the size of a cucumber. She is 14.5 inches and is around 2 pounds now! She is opening her eyes now and can detect light and dark.

Avery Claire | Week 25 + 5 Days

Days down: 180
Days to go: 100

Movement: Yes! I started listening to music while I get ready & Avery absolutely loves it! She moves and dances to the music! :) She is definitely my girl!

Pregnancy Symptoms: I still have to pee all the time, but that doesn't seem like it will be getting any better for the remainder of my pregnancy so I guess I should just get used to it. Blah!

Best things about this week: Avery's crib is put together and in her room!! We also painted an old dresser we got from my cousin Megan white & moved it into it's spot in her room! We have lots to do, but I feel like we have finally made some progress!

Sleep: It's getting harder to get comfortable at night. The most comfortable position is on my back, but I am trying to stay away from that position. Maybe I will try a body pillow in the weeks to come!

Food Cravings: Nothing in particular this week!

Random facts about Avery this week: Avery is the size of an eggplant this week! She is about 13 inches long this week (crown to heel) and around 1 and 1/2 pounds! She knows which way is up and down now and she can grab and hold her feet and umbilical cord. The blood vessels in her lungs have developed enough to help them take in air and her nostrils are open now. -- Which is why they say a fetus at 25 weeks is viable outside the womb. :)

We love our sweet little girl and absolutely cannot wait to meet her in November!

Avery Claire | Week 24 + 5 Days

Days down: 172
Days to go: 107

Movement: Yes! Lots! She loves to move around at night & around 3AM! We can see her movements on the outside now which are absolutely amazing! Her daddy sure enjoys seeing those kicks on the outside!

Pregnancy Symptoms: I usually have heartburn at least once a day. And, as far as I can tell, it isn't associated with any food in particular. I hope Avery comes out with a head full of hair! I am also getting up to use the bathroom at least 3-4 times a night which hasn't been fun.

Best things about this week:
Nursery was painted this week and it looks so good! Thankfully, we had help from our sweet cousin Taylor Whitt!
Also, a sweet friend from work gave me tons of cute outfits for Avery!
We took a family trip to the Riverbank Zoo in Columbia and it was so much fun! We can't wait to take Avery there one day!
We bought her crib today!

Sleep: I am still sleeping well! I made the transition to day shift so I am averaging about 6-7 hours of sleep a night and about 9 hours on my days off! I am enjoying sleep while I can! :)

Food Cravings: Nothing in particular, but I still have an aversion to eggs.

Random facts about Avery this week: She is the size of an ear of corn (8 and 1/2 inches long) and about a pound and a half! My uterus is 2 inches above my belly button now (which I can tell because I have felt her movements higher this week!) Her face is almost formed and her eyelashes, eyebrows, and hair are all formed!

We can't wait to meet you sweet Avery
