My sweet parent's birthdays are within 4 days of each other. We celebrated Dad with a cake and KFC. We celebrated mom with chicken casserole and a cake at my house!

Fall makes me so, so happy.

Saturday was wonderful.

 

Kam and Taylor came over for breakfast. We cooked, talked, and just enjoyed each other's company. Oh, and Tyler surprised me with flowers!

 

After we ate, we went over to Brandon and Danielle's to watch the USC game.

 

Then, it was a night to celebrate Tyler. I made taco soup for our family and we laughed the night away. Tyler left for the police academy on Sunday and will be there for 12 weeks. We are so proud of you!

 

 

 

Friday | paint party

Our friends and family gathered at our house on Friday to start painting! We had an awesome time!

Brandon and I started painting the living room early in the day on Friday. It was so frustrating to paint because the color Tyler and I chose was almost identical to the color they already had in the room. So, while painting, it was hard to tell what we had painted and what was already on the wall. BUT, nonetheless, we got it done and it looks awesome.
Special thanks to Danielle & Taylor Whitt for doing ALL the trim work in the house. Y'all rock!




Zach & Marc painted our bedroom an ivory color. They did an awesome job!
I'll post the after picture when we get it decorated completely.
 

 

 

Tyler, Taylor, Marc, Hayden & me all worked on our master bathroom. It was HARD WORK but the finished product is beautiful!

 

 

 

Morgan, Shannon, Chelsea, Ashton, Danielle & Taylor Whitt painted the gray in the bonus room.

After we taped the WHOLE room for the stripe we want around the room, we realized we needed to do that after we painted the room gray! Oh well, we had fun anyways!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Leah and Bobby stopped by with this beautiful wreath for our front door! We love it!

 

 

 

 

Danielle painted our 1/2 bathroom downstairs. She busted her butt on that room and we are very grateful! It looks awesome!

Thank God for our family and their willingness to help us.

We appreciate y'all coming over and helping us on Wednesday night. (and being there for us through this whole crazy process. we couldn't have done it without y'all).

Tradition calls for the eating of the top layer of our year old wedding cake.

It actually wasn't bad & we had a lot of fun.

 

Our first anniversary is in the books & it was wonderful.
