our weekend getaway

We spent the weekend at The Outer Banks in North Carolina.

It was the epitome of a quiet, beautiful, peaceful town and it just may be the darkest place we have ever seen. The weekend was filled with chilly air, fall leaves, and beautiful scenery.

the sky is the limit

Tyler & I spent our Saturday afternoon at the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills. 
(I had NO idea that the Wright brothers flew for the first time in The Outer Banks!)
 We were especially thankful for this part of history today...especially since we will be getting on a plane in less than 2 weeks to visit our friend in NYC.

Thank you Wright brothers for flight! 

Fun Fact: Active Military and 3 dependents get into any National Park for free. :)
